Center for Mental Health Services and Criminal Justice Research to host "Reentry to Recovery" conference
The Center for Mental Health Services and Criminal Justice Research at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is sponsoring a conference entitled Reentry to Recovery: Prisoners with Mental Illness Coming Home from Prison and Jail, which will be held in Philadelphia on April 14-16, 2004.
The goal of the conference is to bring together policymakers, practitioners, academics, advocates, and consumers to explore issues facing persons with mental illness returning to the community from correctional facilities. Speakers include: Journalist Fox Butterfield, Commissioner Devon Brown, Secretary Estelle Richmond, Dr. Howard Goldman, Dr. Todd Clear, Ms. Elaine Bartlett, Director Michael Hogan, Ms. Martha Hodge, and Ms. Heather Barr.
