Consumers, advocates, government officials, academics, and legal providers will discuss the criminal justice system and how alternatives to incarceration can be implemented to best serve people with mental illness. Confirmed speakers include Hon. Matthew J. D'Emic, Brooklyn Mental Health Court and Dr. Merrill Rotter, Professor of Psychiatry, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Changing Minds: Mental Health Alternatives to Prison is a coalition of consumers, advocates, and providers who are working to address the needs of people with mental illness who are, or who have been involved in, the criminal justice system.
