The Consensus Project, coordinated by the Council of State Governments Justice Center, partners with other organizations working to improve outcomes for people with mental illnesses involved with the criminal justice system.

The Justice Center collaborates on mental health-related projects with the National GAINS Center. Created in 1995, the GAINS Center is a national clearinghouse of information about effective mental health and substance abuse services for people with co-occurring disorders in contact with the justice system.
